On Feb. 2, 2013, Monroeville Fire Co. Sta. 17, along with Elmer Fire Co. Sta. 21, and Elmer EMS Sq. 21 were dispatched to the area of 34 Dutch Row Rd. for a reported working building. 21-8 responding reported a large column seen from about a mile out. Units arrived with a large detached garage well involved. Upon arrival, engine 17-1 placed its deck gun in service. Command requested additional tenders from Daretown Sta. 16, Willow Grove Sta. 22, Centerton Sta. 23, and Franklinville Sta. 43-1, as well as a RIC team from Sta. 43-1. Crews placed several lines in service to knock down the fire. Engine 21-1 was diverted to set up a fill station on Island Rd. After some time, the fire was finally brought under control. Salem County Fire Police Sta. 26, and NJSP also assisted at the scene.
